Replaced my clutch and a loose belt at a cost of £750. I was told that replacing the belt would stop the squeeling noise the car made when starting up. 2 weeks later the noise was back. As for the clutch, this lasted 1 month before it started slipping again. Took it back to the garage and the told me it was now an issue with the gearbox. Took it to an another garage for a second opinion and they told me the gearbox has caused the clutch to fail a second time and should have been replaced first…Â
I've been here several times since moving into the area. They were recommended by a friend. My brakes came up as an advisory on my MOT, and instead of just swapping them out, they told me there's plenty of life left in them, so come back in 6 months and they'll replace them then!
