Merryvale feels like home. The food is amazing. Merryvale has a great activity department that works with the community to give back.
My mother has been at Merryvale Assisted Living for almost three years, and the care she receives has been wonderful. The staff is attentive, kind, and truly cares about the residents. A special thank you to Davia, who is amazing with both care and communication. She always keeps our family informed and goes above and beyond to make sure my mom is comfortable and well taken care of. We’re very grateful to have found such a caring place for her.
My Paps stayed there for about a year until he passed away. The staff was so kind and spoiled him while he was there. He would brag about how fast they would come when he pressed the button, lol. I’m sure he annoyed the staff but they never showed it. My family was hesitant at first since the building is a little older but we fell in love with the atmosphere and the staff. My grandmother was a resident for several years until her passing in 2011. She loved the family she had at Merryvale, residents and staff. I recently toured with a friend of mine for her grandmother. I was so happy to see some of the same staff still there that cared for my sweet Memaw. The remodeling and new decor has really made the building look more modern without taking away the feeling of being home again. I have a sweet friend who was put here for memory care. Started off great and it continued to go gown hill. We kept complaining and was always promised things would get better! It got WORSE! Her hygiene has gone down hill, the staff is rude and they were using her hygiene supplies on other people!! Wanted to like this place but honestly it’s a joke of a nursing home.
