Detox unit - Most of the staff were amazing and truly cared, which is why I elevated the rating from 1 star. Others seemed rude and looked down on patients. Also, they confused me with someone with the same first name when drawing blood for tests. I noticed on the paper it was not my name right before they started. The whole unit was 10 degrees freezing every day and requests to turn on the heat were ignored. The beds were like stone tablets and the pillows were like garbage bags filled with playdough. Anyone who is truly ready for recovery should make this place their first choice of facilities. The beds suck but the staff are top shelf through and through. From the first person I spoke with on the phone to the last on my way out I knew they had my back and were highly trained. Thank you CVH and God bless !
The care was alright but some nurses were rude and didn't seem invested and they completely fumbled my aftercare in terms of needed medications
I tried entering multiple detoxes, Merritt Hall in Middletown kept in contact with me, held my bed for the time we agreed on. They even contacted my Doctor in New Britain (after I signed a release of course) about my sublicade shot, I had to enter detox and would have missed my appointment; but the nurse at Merritt Hall ended up doing it during my stay there, so I wouldn't get off track.
