I would NOT recommend taking your child here! If they do not immediately cooperate Dr.Merritt and the assistant will tell you to hold your child down! I did not hold my child down and left to find a dentist that can do his job without requiring my child be restraint.
Dr. Merritt is a fantastic pediatric dentist, and is board certified. He treated my 4 year old for underbite and successfully resolved it in months, when most dentists would wait until she was older and then would have had to treat it more extensively or orthodontically. He has a wall full of certifications, awards for speaking at the American Acadamy of Pediatric dentistry, etc. He teaches part time at UAH. He is great with children.
