Had my truck repaired in October of last year. The repairs it went in were a leaking heater core and replacing the front brakes. Their technician called me asking about replacing my evaporator core while doing the heater core repair. I authorized the repair after telling the tech about other normally required parts for teh A/C repair that he had not added to the estimate.
