Thirty years ago, we dreamed of living in a log home. Today, we are in our third year in our Freedom Log Home, situated on a small lake in Andover, NH, and we are still pinching ourselves. We truly get to live here! Merrimack Homes didn't just sell us materials; Lia, Jeff, and Amanda took this entire journey with us, step by step, from the initial log purchase all the way through construction. They even connected us with our contractor, Dan, who was an absolute gift to work with. One of the most magical moments of the entire... read more
Working with Merrimac Quality Log Homes has been an outstanding experience. We loved visiting the mill and actually saw our home sitting in the warehouse. That was the beginning of our journey! We wanted to make minor interior changes to the floor plan, and they supported us through the process. We changed and added windows in the gable ends and they supported us again. They also answered questions from our builder throughout the process. The builder was impressed with the quality of the log home and all instructions for con... read more
We found Merrimac after talking to a few builders who all said Merrimac is the way to go for ease of building. We contacted Lia and she was quick to help us make our dream come to life! We started with a base model winnisquam but thought we might like some doghouse dormers and Lia quickly sent us some custom floor plans to choose from. Right from the start they were helpful, knowledgeable, and always checking in. Just a great family run local business who produce a really great product. Can’t recommend them enough!
My husband and I built the Sunapee model with Merrimac Log Homes several years ago and we still absolutely love our home. Lia was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process, she helped us modify the model and always kept up with our progress during the build. She helped customize our decks and windows and even worked with us on adjusting the foundation plan for our site. Their pricing was the best we found at the time, especially compared to other log home companies we looked into, and the package included more mat... read more
At the beginning of this process, we were offered a tour of the facility and that came with detailed explanations of the process and ALOT of education. They even brought us to a home that was being built nearby to see progress and challenges to expect. We bought our cabin kit right as COVID hit and the whole process had many challenges. After a long couple years and MANY MANY questions, and modifications, we got it done! We now have a BEAUTIFUL, quality log cabin that is EXACTLY what we wanted. Merrimac log homes has been gr... read more
