Robert " Buddy" Merrill took our deposit to paint a house we were working on and never showed up. He was arrested for contractor fraud and has an arraignment in December of 2024. He has been previously convicted of contractor fraud and on the Vt Home Improvement Fraud registry. He has many negative reviews (we saw after the fact) for taking money and not doing the work. He also has outstanding small claims judgements. Do not take the risk.
We were short on time and needed to get our metal roof painted; Buddy assured me he’d be able to get the job done, and get it done the right way. He did an excellent job on our roof. He was extremely clean, courteous and communicative during the process. I couldn’t be happier with the job he did and would highly recommend him.
Bus Merrill is a true professional. I'm a very nervous person and I'm sure a little over the top in worrying about people I hire. We're doing a house Reno for a young single dad and have given deposits only to be ghosted. Bud showed up the day he said he would, he did an excellent job at a reasonable rate. Very courteous, he walked me through how he does things, worked long hours, and all the while without complaint. I highly recommend.
