Run do not walk away from Joseph Merrill and Merrill Complete Construction. He is a con artist that creates a contract to do work, falsely promises - even in writing - that he has the necessary licenses and permits to do the work he says he will do, and then does the work with no regard for regulations, permits, inspections, safety, timeliness or quality - the aesthetics are amateurish at best and downright ugly. Let me start with, I wish I would've Googled this company before ever using them. I had an experience with them similar to others. Agreed to a job, signed a contract, delayed start, when work was finally done- it wasn't done to code or well. Now the job site needs cleaned up, but no replies to numerous calls, texts, and voicemails. I had my wife call one time bc he didn't have her #..he answered her call, but once she mentioned her name..click...hung up on..filed a complaint with the BBB.

I have never experienced anything like this company is putting me through. It took months after giving them my deposit to get them to show-up and that was after I was demanding my deposit to be returned. When they did show-up to do the work it was not done properly. They are unprofessional and have little knowledge about concrete. They are threatening to sue us after we asked them to leave because we will not let them finish the job.
