This store sucks. I spent over $400 last year on my bike. I had a rack custom-made.not only was it not balanced,1" off center, but also missing hardware. Nuts missing. They should be ashamed of themselves for charging that kind money and delivering shoddy service.
Bought a Giant - Roam bike! Staff was very knowledgeable, and very helpful. Shown me a few bikes, let me test ride, made sure it was a good fit. Asked what I use it for, and picked out a perfect hybrid that's great in the street, and handles the trails I go on. Very happy I found this shop.
The gang at Merrick Bicycles have always been great, but the last few weeks they went above and beyond. I'd brought my bike in several times because there was a pronounced squeak. Each time, they looked the bike over, adjusted a few things and said, try it & see if it comes back. Unfortunately, it always did. Wanted to do a tune-up. They said my chain was loose on my relatively new bike. Wanted over $100 to fix it. Took it to another bike shop and they said my chain was totally fine. Very disappointing.
Called them once to see if they had inventory on a bike I was interested in, now some 12 months later, they are spamming my number with ads. If they are this hard up for money, what other shady business practices will they do?
