I'm disappointed with this card, which was suggested by Credit Karma. Despite auto-pay enrollment, I've incurred late fees and a $4.00 fee for years. How can this occur? Regrettably, customer service was unable to assist. As my account reflects no recent purchases, I'm only paying late fees and charges levied by Merrick Bank. This experience has fallen short of expectations, and I advise exploring alternative credit options.
Horrible customer service, try to talk to person and will sit on hold forever without an eta of how long to wait or option for callback. Started charging my card a fee for not being used without notifying me which caused the account to be late hitting my credit score.
Absolutely ridiculous. I got charged the yearly fee and then it took over 2 months to get my card. They "expedited" it twice. I literally got the card 5 days before my due date. Then after talking with them and explaining everything for the fifth time I was told my due date would be changed so it would be a month from when I received the card. I was just called today and told I now have late fees and cant use the card since they never changed the due date. Absolutely ridiculous.
My Merrick Bank credit card arrived promptly and worked perfectly from the start. The application process was straightforward, and even though my credit wasn’t great at the time, they were willing to work with me and give me a chance. Their service has been reliable and hassle-free, and I truly appreciate the opportunity they gave me to rebuild my credit. Highly recommended!
