This place is amazing. We had it to ourselves probably due to the windy day and low tide but still very enjoyable. We parked at the jail and walked down the hill past the picnic area. Saw pods of dolphins and enjoyed exploring the pools. Easiest with sturdy footwear but doable in thongs. Lovely bit of nature that should be respected by all who visit.
Don’t swim here. Too dangerous.
Arrived to the calmest, crystal-clear water that many describe. Kids were having a great time, then it changed without warning. Massive waves crashing the pools, slamming kids into rocks and pinning them under. Parents had no visual due to the whitewash. The most frightening thing I've experienced. Stay vigilant, keep your kids close. I personally will never return.
Please be careful, depending on the surf & tide conditions can be serene or a washing machine. Also don’t use the track down from the German Monument. The track from the parking lot near the Gaol is so much easier and you won’t fall off a cliff.
Perfect. Had the place to myself the entire time. Well over an hour this morning.
