This is a review of Ted from back around 1976. He worked on all of our stock from the cattle to the horses, what a good man and doctor, I loved him back then working on my horses & then I would get to see him. What a 16-year-old can't have a crush lol, seriously I have worked beside him on the ranch, and he literally slept outside during our first calf heifer season, and they were all too small, so we had to help pull a good many. Excellent Dr. Takes great care of our animals horses and dogs. Still makes house calls. Very honest and doesn't offer medicine or tests you don't need.
Good old school country vet, practical approach, reasonable prices, takes time to talk with clients about their pets and their care. Only drawback is no fax machine and credit cards not accepted, but no credit cards probably helps keep prices reasonable, so it's kind of a tradeoff. Definitely recommend.

Yes everything was neat and sterile Did you have to wait long after you arrived for your appointment? No, they were ready for me right after I arrived.
I have enjoyed Dr. Merkle as a vet for many years. He works on our large and small animals. What I appreciate most is his honesty. Him and his staff always offer great service and they never try to talk you into things you dont need. You are never made to feel guilty for not being able to spend \$ on routine tests or medications that arent needed. He has always taken great care of my animals from horses to dogs. And his staff is knowledgeable to answer my questions. No need for another vet.
We love Dr. Merkle! His priority is the animal and not how much he is going to bill you. He is very fair in his pricing and the entire office is very welcoming and quick to help. We would recommend him to everyone!
