For a year and a half I could not get Meritage to maintain their portion of the berm for the unoccupied homes. There’s been mice, underground hornet nests and spiders. Also, During that time I’d have some much trash from the crew left behind my fence. They finally sent someone to cut a portion of the berm and they destroyed part of it and left a huge rock on my side that I am unable to move. Chris Wright did an excellent job for us. He literally got out his bed one evening and showed us six homes and we actually chose one of them. We'll done!

Go somewhere else. Unless you want the used car buyers experience,buying a "New Home". Originally, Meritage was our choice. The sales and project manager were why we chose Meritage over others. Then we closed. Closing was on again off again. Construction during 2021 was tough for all. Then suddenly closing had to happen when Meritage dictated. We accommodated as Meritage threatened to void our contract and sell to someone else if we didn't close when THEY demanded. Even when the project was not complete. Only promise to fulf... read more

Do not buy from this builder! I made the mistake twice buying two houses from these guys—don’t make the same one. It started off well last year, but things have gone downhill. We purchased a home in the Chestnut Grove subdivision, and the builder used a terrible plumber, which led to a major leak inside a second-floor wall—thankfully, the warranty covered that.
