Horrible builders. They come out to put a bandaid on things only to break again.
I've been trying to get in touch with Doug Berg for a refund and have been getting the run-around. I have not had any success. At first, the process was going great, had a great time with communication. Now that money is involved, he has suddenly disappeared.
I purchased my Meritage home in 2022. The initial sales process was great and the buying experience itself went very smoothly. Unfortunately, the experience after closing has been extremely disappointing. Shortly after moving in, I began receiving extremely high water bills. I contacted the construction manager and explained that I believed there was a leak in the yard due to water pooling. I even showed him the exact location where I suspected the issue. Avoid this builder if you can. Buying a newly built home from the. Is a joke. Prepare for constant problems and refusals to fix the issues. Find another builder if you can.
