We are overall very happy with the final product of our new home built by Meridian Custom Homes, but the experience getting there was far from what we expected from a luxury home builder. Communication in the beginning was horrendous — emails and questions often went unanswered for 6–8 weeks. I have had the opportunity to work with Meridian custom homes in many capacities. I have worked with them while landscaping their clients new builds, their model homes and their personal homes. Working on any of the above I would have to say that the owners Alex and Rod and their project managers are always right there when I need them. This is key when you are trying to meet deadlines. Worst builders i have ever seen. Parents bought my house in 99. 2 years after got floods in the foundation in the basement. Refused to fix, and eventually had to pay someone. Not only that but everything and i mean everything they went the cheap way out and by NO means money was ever a object. To them probably because they wanted to pump out as many house in the neighborhood as they could. All have mostly same arrangment all neighbors with houses with them all problems. Never reccomend.
Total satisfaction with our Meridian custom home at The Preserve at Mill Pond. Well built, quality detail/upgrades, and the support team seals the deal after moving in. Steve Choquet and his team are accessible, responsive, and help out with the big and small, for a year after moving in. Alex (owner) has been helpful and doesn’t just “move on” once the development is sold out. Back to Steve, total rock star!
