Terrible experiences with meridian all around. They keep unnecessarily long (7 business days) hold on bank drafts, had issues with their account opening promos that needed me to visit the branch multiple times only to result in not honouring the promotion. I do not recommend meridian at all for any Canadians who care about banking.
Very bad experience. Today I had an appointment to apply for a product with a customer representative and he called me beforehand only to tell me that it would not be approved without looking at anything or giving options or anything... zero interest in the customer... it must be that he didn't feel like working in the afternoon.
I've been banking with Meridian since they were Hepcoe Credit Union, but they never fail to disappoint me. Many of the tellers have told me things like 'you can't withdraw from your RRSP', then when they find out I can, they have no idea how to process it and I've literally stud in my branch for over an hour while they figure it out - on many separate occasions. Worst bank ever been with them only 4 month now they decide to close the account for no reason also one of the workers made in inquiry without getting my consent I don’t recommend anyone to open account with poor system like this
Thank you for looking out for me and checking to see if I was the one whom sent money to a Canadian Crypto company. And caring enough to try and educate me on how there are many scammers in this space. My $500 is safe in your hands!
