I was going to change my rating because I do have a mental illness and an addiction problem. I wanted to think, well I only remember 90 percent of that night. The 10 percent I did remember could not be true. At least l finally arrived at UF in gainesville safely. I read other patient reviews and they match mine to a tee. But what if we are wrong because we were distorted in our minds? We were not. I read the reviews of their sound minded sober employees, past and present. Being locked up in the most filthy, outdated place such as Meridian of Lake City, and all of its staff techs, nurses, and even the stressed-out super power play of a doctor with clear symptoms of psychosis of grandeur that is all caught up in the delusions of an old school thinking and causing dangers to the mentally ill of a time long gone to the past, and they think it is normal. I am very disappointed in the way the Staff treats their clients and their families. I have personally observed poor management and lack of sympathy & support. Giving false hope to families in need of seeking mental health services for their love ones. A community resource that falsely promotes mental health services to vulnerable individuals who struggles with mental illnesses.
