I went to the Waterloo MercyOne ER with vomiting, diarrhea, a blinding headache, nausea, and shaking — I was visibly ill, in a wheelchair, and clearly dehydrated. I waited over 4 hours (with a referral from your urgent care) without anyone offering fluids or giving any medical attention whatsoever. My HR and O2 were taken an hour into the visit and I was returned to the waiting room. Multiple patients with less severe issues were taken back before me. Worst er experience i've ever had. Plan on making a case. I was ignored for more then an hour after the doctor said they would be in to talk to me about my severe chest pain. Had press the call light several time with no response. Then was given Attitude for being upset about it from Dr Peña. If you have a life or death issue I strongly urge you not to go to this hospital. This place needs to be seriously looked at for malpractice!
