I was a patient in the emergency room a couple months ago, I was placed under watch for suicidal thoughts. I just want to say the nurse I had all morning was the sweetest lady ever. She made me feel so special. I was having a very rough time and she made me feel so at ease. We watched sitcoms on the tv, and then talked about how i was feeling. We arrived in the ER at approx. 7:30 pm on Friday, November 29th, we left around 11:30 pm. There were 2 other people in the waiting room to be seen when we got there. I only waited 15 minutes. I was in a room within a few minutes after that. Nurse Andy was awesome! PJ from radiology was too. Dr. Mandal was thorough and attentive. Someone was checking on me every 15-20 minutes while I was in the room. It was a good experience (with the exception of being sick). Thank you Andy, PJ and Dr. Mandal. Jeana V.

My son went to Mercy ER dept on Oct 1 just after 12 midnight with extremely edematous hands and forearms. Was having pain and numbness in both extremities. Female Dr ordered xray of both hands and gave him an injection of Toradol for pain. He was there for 5 hours....it was not busy. His male nurse showed more concern for his symptoms then the Dr. My son has a heart history..he had a heart attack at age 35. While he had there during his vitals check his heart rate was in the 40s. Billing with Mercy one is impossible. I took my child to Mercy One Urgent care on 3/21. Just got a bill last month. I contacted mercy one location in dunes about a bill last month. I have a primary and secondary insurance. I called medicaid and they said Mercy had billed/coded the bill wrong, that's why that part wasn't paid/denied. I called back and let this urgent care know about the billing issue. The lady at the front desk said it would handled.
