I scheduled and went in for what I understood to be a routine annual preventive exam. Toward the end of the appointment, I was asked if “anything else was going on.” I briefly mentioned a couple of minor things, which we discussed for maybe two minutes. Months later, I received an unexpected bill and learned that my visit had been coded as more than just an annual preventive exam. The lady in the lab services is not well behaved. She forgot some of the tests that was prescribed. Not a welcoming place.
