Thank you so much Dr.Tweena and staff for saving my life on July 5th 2023 from my colon burst. Not only did he save my life, but the care I received afterwards was also 5 star!!
I was nearly 7 months into the program and withdrew. Amanda and Dr Ahad are great. The problem lies with a couple other team members. As a nurse and also former employee of this hospital I do not recommend right now, hopefully they will change for the better in the future. Patient advocacy lacks extremely. I generally never leave a bad review but this felt extremely important to share
Absolutely a waste of time they make you sit in a seminar about how you’re going to pay for the surgery then tell you what the criteria is. One would assume that the criteria would be available ahead of time. The surgeon sounds like she gets off on being in control of your whole life. Don’t waste your time and just go with the University of Iowa.
They try to milk your insurance. It won't cost you anything personally besides wasted time, but they will try to bill extra visits through your insurance for more money. Went in for a screening visit they had MRI, analscopy, and physical. After all of that they wanted me to drive 45 minutes for another in-person visit. They refused to discuss next steps for surgery over the phone. I just saw another doctor in Illinois.
