I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND coming here. The people here have 0 compassion for a child at that. My regular care at mercy is great but THIS EMERGENCY ROOM DESERVES TO BE SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY! The lack of competence these people have, they should NOT be in the line of “caring for people”.
Jan. 21, 2025 my daughter was taken to the ER for additional pain relief for her back that had immobilized her. Under the management of Dr. Hunter Cook, multiple interviews, tests, scans and surgery consults it was determined she had a severe infection that required emergency surgery, 7 days in ICU and additional hospital stay of 10 days. Seems very efficient and staff is smart. Very thorough. Everyone seems to know their role and completes their tasks in timely manner.
Showed up last night at 11:30 p.m. with FLU A. Husband having chest pains and coughing could hardly breath. Still setting here at 2:00 A.M. no new patients coming in hardly at all. Tell me why we’re STILL setting here not been seen yet!!! No excuses for such a huge hospital to be so under staffed. Disgusting!!
If I could rate this lower than one star, I would. The "doctor" stated that since my spouse had not passed out from her adrenal crisis, she should be "fine." She was discharged shortly after being given a bag of fluid and some pain medication even though she was still in immense pain. All of this after waiting more than four hours to be seen?
