I’ve been patient here for 3yrs. I have switched oncologist 3 times within the hospital and still haven’t gotten a straight answer on how my incurable cancer is going to affect me for the rest of my life. Somehow, if my luck couldn’t get any worse, they’re supposed to be sending bills to a third-party to get paid. No one there has figured this out and they have sent everything to collections. Thanks guys!
My mother received terrible care and explanation of options here. It greatly impacted her quality of life and remaining months. Please get a second opinion when given treatment options if you are a senior with stage 2 or greater cancer.
It's possible that doctors here are capable of treating cancer but they are definitely not capable of treating patients. We were told so many lies about everything, that anxiety spiraled out of control and became fear. Zero compassion, zero or wrong information, zero cooperation, zero or incorrect scheduling, medical questions left completely unanswered or just answered with "I don't know". Another example of...the cure is worse than the disease. Another nightmare to to sleep with. Please please please get a second opinion.
Urgent referral, but intake coordinator Tara never answered my calls during business hours nor responded to messages.
After a mammogram showed highly suspicious tumors(ie it was cancer but needed biopsy for official diagnosis and proceeding to further tests and treatment) we immediately began contacting places for appointments. We spent two days calling Mercy trying to get consultation and/or biopsy scheduled. Kept getting transferred to people who couldn't seem to help get an appointment scheduled.
