Receptionist lied to me and said they do not accept my insurance after I called prior to confirm they take it. I missed my appointment and wasn’t able to be seen as a high risk patient because the woman lied. I called back to see if they take it to see if there was a mix up. They again confirmed they in fact accept my insurance. How can someone tell you they don’t accept it, if they do? I feel she purposely embarrassed me and turned me away.
Dr. Lagow is wonderful, BUT I’ve had one too many poor experiences. Most recently I scheduled a well woman exam. I arrived 20 minutes early and checked in. 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I asked the front desk for an update. The woman working informed me they’d no longer be able to see me. I asked if this would reflect as a missed appointment on my end and she assured me it would not. Buyer beware - apparently one 15-minute chat with an OB here is equivalent to a binding contract to stick with that particular doctor until the end of your pregnancy. I picked my first OB appointment based on who was available to see me on the day I needed the appointment, and now no other Mercy doctor will see me. Evidently it's of no consequence that I didn't click with this particular doctor and would in fact like to have somebody else by my side at delivery. Horrible service they dont understand what PCOS is and I made an appointment and they cancelled it when I really need to go and I get checked and they didn’t have an opening and they said a man can see me I told them I really wanted Ashly and how I don’t like men understanding me and they put not true stuff on my records to make then not look bad!
