Hello, This spring, I purchased a Mercury 2.5 motor (I have a small inflatable boat, so I don't need a larger motor). My experience with Mercury has been nothing short of terrible. The issue was that the motor's carburetor kept flooding with gasoline. On several occasions, I ventured far from the shore, only to end up rowing back because the motor wouldn't start. Purchased thru legend boat whitefish. They suck there. My boat was held hostage for six months waiting for a $107.00 seal kit. Mercury won't supply properly Now the tilt won't work. GARBAGE. Boat has less 300 hrs Buy Suzuki, Yamaha,evinrude anything but this crap
It doesn’t deserve a single star. Tried to download a digital owners manual for my 9.9 pro kicker and ended up stressed out after getting caught up in a never ending repetitive cycle of filling in the on line form. Never did get an owners manual and the information I needed. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Others had warned me about the websites role in ensuring contacting Mercury was tough…they were correct.

The motors are terrible customer service is terrible prices are through the roofer parts they own boat manufacturers is the only reason that they can sell motors
