We booked a room with a river view, paying more for this. Our view was of the hotel restaurant. The reception told us that a room with a view wasn't available as they were busy. Not good enough. The hotel is pretty rundown. Rotten wood on the bathroom door. Marked room door. On the otherhand very comfortable bed.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay. At check-in, I was told I could not redeem my welcome drinks upon arrival and that they were only available through the restaurant—which was closed at the time. I have stayed at this property multiple times over the past 3–4 years and have never encountered this restriction. As a Gold member of the ALL Accor program, I’ve also stayed at numerous Accor properties and have never had this limitation imposed elsewhere. We arrived late in the afternoon after travelling in the car for the day. Check in experience was fine. Upon entering our room 509 we were hit with a musty damp odour and the air conditioner was not on. We found a card on the table indicating Rachael had serviced our room. On entering the bathroom we found hair, not belonging to any of us, on the vanity top and stuck to the mirror above the vanity. Spent three nights here. Don’t think the hotel should be rated as 4 star. I’d say it’s an average 3 star hotel. Bathrooms are old. The room is spacious with balcony so you can actually let some fresh air in. Staff was friendly and very efficient at check-in. Free parking is a definitive
