I moved my banking to Merchants from Wells Fargo and have been pleasantly surprised by their customer service. The staff is always willing to help and they have made what used to be a chore, into a simple stress free task. I highly recommend Merchants!
My family and I have banked with Merchants for the last 70+ years. I would always recommend, but in the last 3 years they have consistently gone downhill to the point that when people ask I tell them not open an account. It is great to walk into a bank and they know your name but with the recent turnover and their unwillingness to put the customer first the are quickly becoming an inconvenience.
