I had a great experience when I went early on in my trip to Nelson. Great personalities running the shop and they are great to their staff. They let me stay late just to get some practice in with a new guy getting the the full shabang of a haircut and face shave. It was also a great cut too! I'd definitely comeback if I was staying in town longer. 🤙
100+ stars for this gem of a place! My 7 year old son was treated extremely well by Chikara today. I would highly recommend him. His care for detail is top notch. My son had a vision for his hair which we found out was called a French crop, and Chikara took his time perfecting the look. The whole vibe of the shop was very cool and everyone was so friendly. 71 year old guy looking for a trim while passing thru Nelson on the way east. Regular haircut request. The barber was a Japanese young man and apprentice in the shop. I am sorry, I cannot remember his name. He was so interesting and loved living in Canada and Nelson. He told me of his 8 year history in Canada and the experiences he has had.
