I’m truly in awe of the way this practice is run. It’s a group of women, who genuinely, truly love what they do and love working together. And it is felt so deeply in the care that is provided. Maraki Midwifery is definitely the place to go if you’re looking for somewhere that listens, reassures, and advocates for you. From my first ultrasound, to rushing up to the hospital because I felt I couldn’t do it and almost an entire year postpartum, from Lisa’s warm greetings and warm conversations while waiting for Emeline to finish with her patient, to Ms.Emeline herself. I had an amazing birthing experience with my home and water birth. The care was incredibly supportive, attentive, and loving from start to finish. They also provided additional resources and guidance to other helpful avenues, which made me feel truly supported as a whole person—not just a patient. This was my first time trying acupuncture to help induce labor, and it was a great experience. Couldn’t recommend Emeline more! Emeline was my midwife with my second who I had in the hospital, and my experience with her was night and day from my pregnancy and labor with my first in all the best ways. When I got pregnant with my first, Emeline was doing home/birth center births and while I really wanted to use her again, I was hesitant to not go with a hospital birth.
