Mid Winter . June Cold snap. Managed to get myself to clinic for test on day 3, but was left outside in the cold on plastic chairs, while staff chatted. No other patients in clinic, but they just left me outside long after I had "filled out the online registration", while they were in the warm inside having a laugh and chat. My body temp plumetted . Covid tester Amy is first class. Amy listened closely to us parents but more importantly our reluctant children. Amy respected their autonomy and turned an anticipated traumatic experience into a one that they will readily return to. It is one thing to do a job, it is another to connect and have the trust of two young children. Full PPE, testing done outside. Seats wiped down with disinfectant. We really appreciate this service. We wish there were more of them and promoted widely.
I had a great competent and friendly help from Dr Patrick Mannion. Not only got better from Covid symptoms, but greatly improved from chronic sinusitis. A very friendly stuff in the clinic as well. Many thanks to all.
You can get walk in PCR tests here at no cost. I went mid-Oct 8.30pm one night and no wait. A negative RAT doesn't mean no covid, so a good resource if needing confirmation.
