What a gem in a land of mediocre dining options! Mentone shines in every aspect with the food being the brightest but their cocktails and wine selections were close seconds. We had the crudo, the fried anchovies, the ceasar and the eggplant and all were stellar. The anchovies and ceasar were standouts. For main course we had the sopresatta pizza, the pesto trofie and the zuccha tortellini special that were all spot on - as good as Quince, Cotogna or Delfina in SF. Delicious from the incredible martini to the lemon curd and pistachio gelato dessert. We cannot wait to return! Every bite was as awesome you could expect from a David Kinsch restaurant. Try it- if you have a palette you will not be disappointed!
Mentone doesn't educate them selfs on other states ids.... note that I am 35, our other friend was was 25 and our friend in question was 27 from out of state. So ofc we left. The fact that we were told they didnt have enough education to figure it out is very unprofessional especially for a establishment that serves alcohol on the regular. Never going again, that's for sure and ruin our first experience with them.
Fun, with good food. Not super high end but excellent and a good variety. Also had a superb wine list. We will definitely return!
