Having a lot of trouble dealing with my psychiatrist's receptionist. She is acting like a psychiatrist and telling me what to do - which isn't her place. This is quite rude. Only the doctor should be doing that. The receptionist also seems mad at me - and certainly lets her feelings known to me. I ended up crying and feeling terrible after talking to this receptionist.
This clinic is not a safe space for trans and queer patients. I am trans and despite having my name on file since I started coming I am consistently deadnamed and my preferred name is consistently ignored. The receptionists are also insanely rude and snappy and get angry when you ask clarifying questions of any kind.
I feel like staff at various mental health clinics are just exploiting low income clients. They cater to rich people and people wanting to have children in static family's. Its degrading having to go into these offices and be told in not worth it and should just be happy with what I've got.
