IT'S A GOOD PLACE TO BE AT FOR YOU'RE MENTAL HEAT 🤔
Tried to communicate my needs with doctors saying that I was not coping here and talked about being in hospital bringing back past memories and trauma and that staying here has been extremely triggering and making me feel worse and all they cared about was giving me more meds.
I am writing this review as a grand parent of an adult child who had a physicotic episode. Thru the whole ordeal the drs and staff were really great, rules were in place to keep him safe, the secure ward when he was first admitted then the general ward. I found all staff friendly the receptionist were awesome explaining how the visits worked etc. This is our first experience with mental health, while my boy was sick he was not a threat to people or himself. This unit was a blessing to our family and we appreciate their help.
I have been having terrible experience here. If you are looking for a facility that understands the nuances of complex trauma, physical-mental health integration, or modern psychiatric care, look elsewhere. This is a punitive environment masquerading as a therapeutic one.
