While I fully recognize the demands and pressures intrinsic to the medical profession, I feel compelled to bring to your attention, Houston Methodist Department of Neurosurgery, as well as any patients, the deeply concerning bedside manners and unprofessional behavior I experienced with Dr. Meng Huang. Dr. Huang is excellent. He used a noninvasive endoscopic surgical procedure to remove a thoracic bone spur that was causing a ventral CSF leak and also repaired the leak by patching it up (all without open surgery). Dr. Kurt Yaeger, who is part of the same neurosurgery department at Methodist, diagnosed me with the CSF Leak, then pulled in Dr. Huang and together they got me fixed up. Dr . Hueng is one of the most compassionate and caring physicians. He walks in a room with a smile and spends time with you. He lets you offer your opinion in the treatment plan. His staff is wonderful.
First and foremost, I want to highly recommend Dr. Meng Haung at Houston Methodist Hospital (Texas Medical Center) to anyone dealing with spine or back issues. I'm 70 years old and recently underwent an L4/L5 spinal fusion performed by Dr. Haung just two weeks ago. I have to admit, I was anxious about this surgery because of my age.
