He resected a tumor from my daughter's cerebellum in 1992 when she was 7. She's now 40 and living a full life. He is a fantastic surgeon and a wonderful person. The UIHC pediatric neurosurgery clinic is in our estate plan.
I started seeing him around the age of 10. I have juvenile arthritis and most of my problems were in my neck. Without his expertise I would have had to have my neck fused. There are not enough stars in this rating!!! Thanks to Dr Arnold Menezes, I AM ALIVE! In 1994, my doctors in Wisconsin found a C-1 Meningioma that had flattened my spinal cord. I was referred to Dr Menezes at UIHC, and literally put my life in his hands while he performed an 8-hr miracle. Seeing your wonderful face in these photos brought me to tears. Dr Menezes told my husband and I that my disabled son needed spinal surgery on a blockage he could see from his mri. He became disappointed when we wanted a second opinion. Thank goodness we did! My son didn’t need surgery and when Mayo Clinic read my son’s chart from Dr Mendez's, it was noted that he wanted to do exploratory surgery. He also had very bad bedside manners.
