I just finished the brioche class with Ann Hovey at the shop. I learned so much from her, as I always do. She is the most talented knitter of my acquaintance and I always learn something when I spend time with her. I am planning more brioche projects and I know Ann will be a huge help to me if I call on her. And, of course, I love Sara and Patty at the shop and always look forward to our weekly gathering.
The shop itself is cute and offers a good selection. I signed up for a Brioche class 1 month ahead of time. I was told it was not for beginners , but not that it was for advanced knitters. Having just completed a sweater that colleques noted to be quite complicated I would have rated myself as intermediate. I went ahead a purchased the instructor recommended yarn and had needles. I walked in wearing 3 knitted items. Gal behind the desk never looked up or made eye contact. I walked around the shop, cute supply, the employee walked by me, still no greeting, she just seemed stressed. I left.
