We walked into this lovely shop just to browse and took home a beautiful amethyst necklace and a redwood/titanium ring that fit my husband perfectly. The store was classy and has really nice pieces ranging from high end gems, pearls and funky jewelry stuff. Tammy was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
This jeweler straight up lied to me about a true red stone marked "ruby". Called her out and she called it "a certain kind of ruby". What? Rubies aren't even really red. I think it was red glass. Judith was condescending, ignorant about her product and plain rude. Don't buy here!
I want to recommend Mendocino Gems for two reasons. First, the store is full of unique and gorgeous jewelry, reflecting the great taste of the owner, Judy. I bought a beautiful aquamarine ring, which was what I had spent months searching for. Second, Judy's follow-up service was impressive. Sadly, the stone fell out and was lost after about six months.
