Mendo Mill ACE Hardware store is a place to visit if you're looking for personal care in finding what you need for any of your home projects! The Associates go out of their way to help you find what you're looki ng for and will remain with you to make sure you complete your shopping satisfied with your purchases! I love the Home Town small businesses because they gov you that personal shopping experience.
I’m glad this store is here but cannot recommend ordering online or event through them for pickup. If it’s not in the store, I’d figure out a different way to go. Two times in a row I tried to order a part online for pickup at the store and both times I went to pick it up they looked at me like I had two heads, couldn’t find the part, and “had no record of it in the system.” Very frustrating in this day and age when we try to support local stores …
Haven’t had the best experience with the store as far as the kitchen cabinet area goes. First thing-Tried to change the color of the cabinets a few weeks in and was told it was too late. Then surprisingly we received a notice they were delayed. Then the cabinets came in broken. They did compensate us however. Second thing- Ordered inserts for utensils and Vince says he doesn’t recall that part of conversation. Not happy at all. Ineptitude
Local chains like Mendo Mill can only compete on customer service, never price and selection versus the "big" guys. Unfortunately, you will find high prices, marginal selection (except specialty items), and, well, pathetic "customer service" in many cases. The front-end staff (e.g., cashiers) seem to be people who don't actually want to be there, even though they interact with customers the most.
