Store is well laid out and easy to navigate. Staff are extremely helpfull and if they cannot locate what you need in store they will try and help you locate it elsewhere. Prices are very reasonable.

Whatever your medium, you'll find everything you need to express yourself. They carry a huge inventory of art supplies, both traditional and the more unusual and contemporary. This is THE Place for Any Art, Craft or Hobby Needs Mendel's Art Supply & Far Out Fabrics is the quintissential place to find just about *anything* one would need for crafts projects, needlework and sewing projects, painting, hobbies and Halloween! Excellent pricing and located conveniently in the Upper Haight. For Halloween or Burning Man supplies, GO EARLY, or you'll find that half of the Bay Area is in on this gem of a resource as well!
Mendels Mendels has a really wide variety of craft materials. I used to go here before I discovered Flax and always liked their selection. The good thing about that store is that it carries low priced in addition to high priced alternatives.
MY FAVORITE PLACE This is my favorite place to shop at for art supplies. Mendels always has a great variety and the prices are reasonable. I always enjoy going there and looking around because it give me a creative mind to want to make new things. The customer service is great and I would definately recommend this store to my friends and other people.
