I think this place needs to be reported to and inspected by the Health department. I am a huge frozen yogurt fan, and have tasted very good froyo. The last few times I've gone to Menchees, the froyo almost tastes like poison! It's as if the machines are not cleaned, and you can taste it! Perhaps that's why there is such a bad smell when you walk in. I tried the original flavor and two others, and it left a horrible taste in my mouth. I wasn’t expecting much coming here but it’s a nice place to be in. Very nice neighborhood considering it’s the Bronx.

I adore Menchies and the flavors they offer. However, the environment is not as clean as it should be. In addition, some of the staff (particularly the woman with the brown hair, two braids and glasses) are not the most polite or kind.
