Here's an update. As of September 16, I still don't have a working washing machine. The part is on order from Whirlpool, after I located a repair center on my own, to order it. Menards has failed to return any emails from me on the subject. Buy an appliance from ANY place, besides Menards in Three Rivers. The absolute worst.
Interesting, I fortunately have always had top notch service-a tip for your next purchase is probably being a more informed consumer, I for one suggest consumer reviews for any major purchase and highly recommend buying the extended service plan on anything...based on the mass production of everything in this day and age, figure that extra $19.99 for the service sure comes in handy...
As a consumer you should educate yourself on the returns policy, should it be necessary. I've always had Great experiences shopping there!
The WORST of the WORST in Michigan! NEVER buy an appliance from Menards!! On July 30, I bought a Whirlpool washing machine from this store and had it delivered/installed. I used it about 6 to 8 times. Just 5 weeks later, it ceased to function. I wasn't too worried, as I assumed that Menards stood behind their products. Right?? Wrong! The Assistant General Manager, Drew Bond, firmly advised me that it wasn't their problem. After 7 days, Menards is off the hook for ANY problems. It's all the CUSTOMER'S problem after that.
