Menards is a curious store, it's like the cross between a box box hardware store and a Walmart. I drive in from out of town to get a 100lb propane bottle and get it filled as well as shoo for lights and fans for the house I'm building. Menards has a tremendous selection of lighting. It's a good store and the prices are quite decent.
I am completely disappointed with Menards in general but especially the Mentor OH location. I have been a dedicated customer for 10+ years and have always paid my account on time. I have never had a problem with Home Depot being able to look up and use my account for purchases with my photo ID if I had accidentally forgotten or misplaced my card. Was at this Menards today. Couldn't find somethings on my shopping list. Most employees seemed disinterested in helping me find things I needed. Also when I was in the garden center, an associate was retrieving an item on the top shelf using a sit-down fork lift WITHOUT using a spotters or safety gates blocking the aisles to keep customers out of adjacent aisles.
