It’s always the same in the lumber yard. When I purchased 50 boards of composite decking counter associate asked if I just called as another guy coming a long distance called to confirm number of boards. I ordered 50 of the last 63 boards. I paid and went to load 8 tested 6x6 12ft long Guy on forklift had nobody in there but me yet unloaded these 6x6 alone Each one weighs 75 to 125 pounds alone There was junk 6x6s had to sort through too twisted to use. Great store, has most of what you need, just keep your visit brief, hearing the Menards jingle on repeat while you're there gets old after a while. 😄
I stopped in today, and was having trouble finding hose clamps. Associate "Scott" was nearby, and I asked where I could find them. He immediately knew where to go, and he walked me over to them. I appreciate this kind of service that, while simple, seems so rare these days. Scott is an asset to the business.
In a city and state with population over the average age of the country, these guys make a 70 year old with foot problems walk all the way around the front section of the store simply to get to the garden center for no reason I can discern -- other than they want me to walk by a lot of their cheap merch. Inside the rightside front door, the garden center is to the right through an (open) walkway.
