If you need to mobile deposit a check, I wouldn’t, not if you need access to those funds in a reasonable timeframe, and it’s your first time doing a mobile deposit with them. They may put an extended hold (over 10 business days!) simply because you’ve not done a mobile deposit before. I’ve confirmed it’s me, it’s my money, but nope. The compliance department has deemed the extended hold is necessary so you’re out of luck. Oh, but you can take a loan out to get access sooner (what?!?). My husband’s debit card was shut off due to a massive data breach with Walmart. Apparently MCCU had 100’s of customers it happened to, a couple weeks ago. I was told a new card was mailed. But they RAN OUT OF CARDSTOCK! A week later, no card, so I called again today, to say one was mailed today. I asked for overnight and the woman said they don’t offer it. Who likes to go over 2 weeks with NO DEBIT CARD? I’m disgusted with their service after banking there since 1990!
