This place is great I have been a customer of MeMa's for several years. They have a great variety of sweets that are designed for diabetics, and I love the way they taste. I have tried a variety of different things from this bakery over the years, and I have never thought that any of their items compared to a supermarket bakery. They are definitely one of KC's finest bakeries, if you want homeade quality!
Excellent service, Excellent food I had the opposite experience as the person above. I thought the food was amazing. It is extremely hard to find bakeries in Kansas City that actually, I don't know, BAKE THEIR OWN ITEMS! You can see right into the back of this bakery, bags of flour, sugar. The smell is to die for. Nice Food but Nothing Special Mema's seemed like an idea place when we visited -- a nice, hometown bakery. Their inventory, however, was very average, as was the quality. They make cinnamon rolls for the nearby Chateau Avalon, and typical bakery staples, like elephant ears, cookies, etc. They were tasty, but nothing better than you get at your local supermarket, and the cost is a bit more than the supermarket. There are some outstanding bakeries in Kansas City; this isn't one of them.
