We went with Melton because of their reputation and we were very happy. They did what they said they would when they said they would, they had excellent (!!) design ideas, and all the subcontractors were pleasant and great craftsmen. Even when we through a wrinkle their way (needing to be finished before the agree-upon date), they accommodated us. We worked with Melton on the following: new roof/gutters, new front porch deck, new garage door, two new exterior doors, exterior paint, finishing a basement room (including custom woodwork/shelving and flooring in the hallway to the room), remodeling a guest bathroom, and replacing our kitchen backsplash. Terrible experience with Melton Design and Build. This company is completely disrespectful and irresponsible. They show zero consideration for their customers or the neighbors. Instead of parking responsibly near their job site, they repeatedly block neighbors’ driveways—sometimes up to five trucks at once. They leave junk scattered all over the neighborhood and have blocked elderly and disabled neighbors from reasonable access to their homes. I had a wonderful experience with Melton when I did renovations on my home in 2023. They were experienced, professional, extremely helpful, and all around a pleasure to work with, both in design and construction. I will definitely work with them again!
