A family owned and run business since 1964. Melvin Elliott opened Mel's Tire San Leandro in 1964,withhis family at his sidehe earneda reputation for treating his customers like family. Mel's wife Gladys and sons Gary and Brianworked in the store untill Mel retired and Brian took over the daily operations. We are blessed to have third and fourth generation customers andseveral five star reviews on Yelp.

Honest Shop – My car dealer told me I needed to buy a tire for $200.00 because a nail could not be fixed. A co-worker refered me to Mel's Tire where the tire was much less plus when I went in for the new tire they checked my old tire and found out it could be repaired saving me money. Repaired tire - $20.00, honest shop - priceless. Thank you Brian.
mels tire service – The old guy that owns the dump is rude and i found the tires cheaper after i gave him a deposit but he wouldn't give me a better price or money back so i ended spending more for his generic tires. i don't recommend this place. go to america's tires.
