She was the worst lawyer I ever had don’t go to her she made me go to prison for a fine and if she would’ve did her job and represented me and my charges could’ve got dropped. She never even came to talk to me besides when we had court and she didn’t even talk to me then. I highly recommend nobody ever chose her to represent you she will ruin your life literally and does not truly care about her clients. She’s the absolute worse lawyer I’ve ever had. Plenty of people out of Rusk county and Smith county can verify the same

If i could give her a 0 start i would. My son had her as a public defender, but not once for a 1yr probation & 3 courts did she ever contact family over the case or did she try to fight it. If the judge said 1 yr probation she would agree & tell you to sign. Missed 2 out of those 3 courts. My son contacted her to get info over his case & she tells him not to call her during her lunch all rude, like excuse me ??? This woman is beyond rude!!!! I called about my mom and she has been rude and hung on me multiple times while I had a witness on the call. She needs to be removed to practice any law. How dare you treat anyone less than. Don't use this woman!!

Ms Melontree greatly helped my boyfriend on his case. There were issues at first and hesitancy when it came to if she believed he was innocent or guilty, but once she actually seen the truth. She fought so hard for him, (This being in a small little country town) and got the whole case dismissed. He's been going through it with this case for 2 years. This is the worst lawyer in Texas. I had a pathetic little dope case back in 2009 and Melontree was assigned as my public defender. I was charged with having .01G worth of drugs. Now, let's put our thinking caps on for one second, folks. .01G is one hundredth of a gram. That's like, literally, 1 cent worth of dope. This is what you call a residue case, and today, it's only a ticket, but back in 2009 it was still a felony. That's right. I said felony.
