Mellow Mushroom opened in 1974 when three college students founded a business that reflected their eccentric philosophies. They saw pizza baking as an art form, and wanted to bring joy to others by perfecting the art of pizza. The first store was created out of an old liquor store on Spring Street near Georgia Tech. Had dinner with a cousin. We shared a small great white pizza. Excellent! Sarah, the service person was also Excellent. The one thing was that the restaurant was warm..granted it was a really hot day but it was sweaty warm inside
This is our go-to spot on weekdays, when it's less crowded. The staff is laid back and the food is great, no surprises there.
