Years ago, the mellow mushroom in Hickory was good. It’s now 2025 the food is still good but the store is always short staffed and the employees act dazed and confused like they don’t wanna be there. My order has been wrong more than it’s been right over the years, never the same employees or managers. It’s like a revolving door of employees. Ordered Mighty Meats. Yeah! Shockingly good. Real smoked bacon. Didn't skimp on meat. Perfectly cooked in oven, not a chain conveyor belt but an oven. Sorry Domino's, Pizza Hut... if you are wanting pizza in this town you get it here.
We did an online order for pickup because our kids were sleeping and we didn’t want to wake them. They woke up as soon as we parked so we figured we could eat inside. We went inside and asked if we could sit inside, we didn’t need a server, we already tipped online. We simply wanted to just sit at a table and eat. No drinks or anything.
